Description

Type a description for the new title. This is mandatory.

Heading

Type the letter heading for the title. For example, if the title is for “Mr”, you may type a heading here as “Dear Sir”. This letter heading is used when you create a mail merge. For more information, see Creating Mail Merge for Multiple Recipients.

Abbreviation

Type an abbreviation for the new title. This is mandatory.

Language

Type or select the language of the title. Titles are dependant on the language. For example, if you create a new entry of a person and the language defined for the person is English, then the title which is linked to English and the gender of the new person will be displayed by default.

Gender

Select the gender which is linked to the title. There are three options available which are Male, Female, and Unknown. When you enter a contact person while creating a new account, a gender will be automatically assigned to the contact person based on the title given to the contact person. The system assigns the gender according to the gender linked to the title.

Default

Select this check box to make the new title a default title for a specific language when you enter details for a contact person. For example, if the language of the contact person is German, the default title for German will be shown at Title.
